Traditional Futon Cover:
Your typical traditional futon cover is made in standard mattress sizes and features zipper that is made of nylon or metal and sometimes use zipper as heavy as a marine grade type and either located on both long and short sides of futon cover or on three sides of futon cover wrapping the long side and half way on both of short sides of the mattress. Futon Life Knowledge base
Average covers for futons can cost anywhere from around $30 to $100 or even several hundred dollars, all depends on the quality of material. The difference will depend on the quality of the cover, size, type, thickness, and the material it is made of. Obviously, leather futon covers and microsuede futon covers will cost a bit more than cotton ones. These are very durable as well as comfortable. The leather ones may not be as comfortable but they give it a nice look especially if you are using your futon as a couch. Just realize that with anything leather, quality counts. Cheap leather futon covers will look and feel bad as well.

There are different types of material that these futon covers are made of like cotton, leather, and micro suede. You will also have your choice in thickness as well. Depending on your comfort, you will want to choose accordingly. Then there is the size of the cover. Make sure you get one that is right for your futon. Sizing is:  full futon cover, queen futon cover, and so on. If you are unsure about which size to get, just simply measure your futon to find out.
