SIS Futon Covers Introduces New Line of Tab Panels
It's Curtains for You! SIS Futon Covers is pleased to introduce a new line of in-stock tab panel curtains. "We found that many customers want to offer window treatments in their stores, but are unsure how to do so," said SIS Futon Covers Customer Service Representative Lisa Beecher. The Curtains for You collection features patterned sheers in standard tab panel dimensions to help simplify window treatments. All tab panels in the collection are attractively packaged for retail display. "Our table-top swatch card holder and a sample panel are all that you need to start selling window treatments", added Beecher. SIS Futon Covers will be sending out Curtains for You sample cards in their acrylic holder to all current customers with updated fabrics.
Cotton Works Moves Into New Pillow Line and Additional Fabrics
Albany, GA - Jim Martin, President of Georgia-based Cotton Works, Inc., is ready for some pillow talk...about his company's new line of corded tapestry pillows.
The pillows, introduced in February, are available in any of Cotton Works fine, upholstery-grade tapestry fabrics. They feature luxurious moire backing and cording around all sides. The company also continues to offer pillows in its other fabric lines.
"The availability of the pillows is in keeping with our normal three-day shipping program at Cotton Works." Martin said. "And Cotton Works is a futon industry leader when it comes to quickly turning around orders."
Along with the new pillow line, Cotton Works introduced 50 new futon covers in January - and is set to add 10 more new fabrics by the end of April.
"The new futon covers are doing real well," Martin said. "And the other new ones we're set to add have been requested by our customers, so we expect a good response to them, as well."
The husband-and-wife team of Jim and Lynn Martin founded Cotton Works, Inc. in 1989, with an emphasis on service, including the futon industry's only shipping program with a three-day guarantee.
"We'll be at the High Point show in late April and the futon show in New Orleans coming up at the end of May." Martin said.
Burlington, VT Burlington Futon Company has added twelve new fabrics to their collection, and all are now available.
Introduced at the San Francisco Design and Furnishings Show in January, the new fabrics are generating an enthusiastic response. The fabrics feature bright, fun, European coloring, including vibrant yellows, blues and greens. With names like Malibu, Antigua and Calypso, these fabrics are just in time for summer.
Of particular interest was Eclipse, a regal blue chenille featuring a sun-moon pattern with a rich soft touch. Most of the new selections are featured in the lower price categories.
The company will be introducing new fabrics several times a year to stay current with new trends.
With a greater selection and broader range of price points, Burlington Futon Company expects to appeal to a larger audience, responding to customers' needs and budgets.
The company's easy to use retail price list has been updated. Every standard futon size and its retail price for the entire collection is listed on one laminated sheet. The retail price list is built with the standard 2.2 markup but can be adjusted to individual preference. It has been well utilized by retailers since it was first provided last summer, and is seen by many as an invaluable sales tool.
King Koil Expands Futon Cover Selection
King Koil's expanded futon cover selection now includes 4 solid colors and 6 upholstery fabrics, available as directly tufted mattress casings. These casings compliment King Koil's extensive line-up of upholstered futon covers.
"Our new Latex "Sit Firm, Sleep Soft" futon mattress continues to break the mold," said Frank Stavis, company spokesman. "One of the few futons on the market with real latex foam, this product is helping dealers, who want the best, to make this mattress their clear choice."
Two of King Koil's new futon frames, the Cape Cod and the Phoenix are off to great starts in 1998, and are proving again that quality, value, one stop shopping convenience, and Made In America is a combination that works.
Genuine Leather Futon Cover by Henri Julian
Two of the home furnishings industry's hottest categories - leather and futons - are brought together when the futon business' newest entrant - Henri Julian Leather Futon - brings new genuine leather futon covers to the High Point and Futon Expo markets this spring.
Hand-crafted leather futon covers in five fashion colors - including a classic Antique Brown, Hunter Green, Saddle, Black and Bone - will be shown at High Point and at the Futon Expo in New Orleans in May.
Packaging and hang tags will promote leather's benefits. These include luxury, practicality, durability and ageless beauty. The Henri Julian Futon Cover will retail at the $299 to $349 price points. "The Henri Julian Leather Futon Cover enables futon retailers to offer high-end leather sofa alternatives at retail prices far below the leather sofa industry," Glasser said.
The line is being introduced at a time when leather sales are enjoying significant growth in the home furnishings industry, Henri Julian President Andy Sturman noted.
