Help! I have owned a futon for a little over a year, and recently the mattress has begun slipping way off the end of the frame, so it is too low in the back and hangs ways over the end, and makes my living room look HORRIBLE. I have fliiped it every way and it still slips. I have seen those gripper pads that are supposed to keep the mattress in place. Do they really work? What should I do? It's drving me NUTS!

Hi kefuller77:

You need a slip stopper.

Go to your local futon specialty store and purchase Sticky Fingers Non-Slip Pads or Helm Slip Stopper Pads. This is the same stuff you put under a rug to stop it from slipping.

Wrap the seat and backrest slats with the stuff and you should be all set.

Let me know hopw you make out.
