I searched the forum first so I hope this is not a duplicate.

I am looking for a traditional futon for one person that I can store in a closet during the day. I am going to be spending a couple months in an extra room at a friend's house and the room has other uses, so I thought a futon, without a frame, that can get out of the way would be ideal.

I've been scouring the web and have found only a couple retailers of something that might qualify, but only one had a picture and that was the very expensive one. I was hoping to keep this to under $200. As you are aware, most of what is out there are westernized futons that are not designed to be stored daily.

Thank you for any help you can give me in finding a suitable solution.

HI Anthony:

I know of two companies that may still make a "traditional" japanese futon.

Great Lakes Futon in Milwaukee and White Lotus in New Jersey.

They are not cheap.
