I purchased my futon several years ago through the Internet. My movers lost the sliders for my futon in a recent move and I cannot find them anywhere. The sliders that most retailers carry are larger than the ones that I need by about 1/2 inch and the style of the groves appear to be different. My grooves are curvature and measure 3/4 of in inch in width. Does anyone know where I might get replacements?

Hi Sliders:

If you have an existing roller to use as a template you could take it to a local wood working shop or machine shop. They might be able to make you a new roller using the existing one from a piece of nylon or teflon rod. You could also make one yourself if you are handy.

Also, look on the home page for the animated assembly area. You can use this area to show a prospective repair person how these things work.

Let me know how you make out.
