I just purchased an 8" futon mattress with springs for a tri-fold frame. At the moment the mattress is completely unwilling to be bent into three parts. Any hope that this will work?

Thanks!

Hi mquinn528:

You may have to tie this puppy down. I have seen several instances where people strap down their mattress so it stays put.

They use nylon or polyester webbing like seatbelts and run it the length of the fold, then under the frame and clip it together using the same kind of clips you use on a back pack. You can get the webbing at any large department store, and the clips at REI or EMS or any camping or outdoorsman store. B R I L L I A N T!
