Night & Day Furniture Launches Expanded Eurohaus Collection at Las Vegas Market

Night and Day Furniture will debut their new and expanded Eurohaus Collection at Las Vegas. “We’ve added 2,000 square feet to the booth just to show it,” said Mike Gallawa.

“Our Eurohaus Collection has been out in the market a year now, and we felt it’s time to let this baby run. We have new sofa recliners, sofa beds, recliners, plus lots of new fabrics. We also have a terrific
modular grouping. It’s been an absolute thrill putting this together,” Gallawa said. “These items are really beautiful, well made and extremely comfortable.”

The Eurohaus Collection line-up features European styling, Japanese mechanisms and American comfort. Above all, you’ll find the Eurohaus Collection strong, well made, easy to assemble and trouble free.

Gallawa said, “How’s this for a great slogan: FROM OUR HOUSE TO EUROHAUS. Pretty corny, right? But that’s what it’s about, we’ve got something worth seeing and worth getting out there.”

See it all in Las Vegas, July 2006, at Night and Day Furniture, Booth P13605.

Omni Softgoods' Custom Workroom

While competitors have chosen to take manufacturing offshore and sell by lowering prices, Omni Softgoods has focused on top quality construction and impeccable service. Standard items ship within three business days, and custom work ships within five to seven days.

“We have experienced increased demand for our workroom capabilities,” says Robin Reid, owner of Omni Softgoods. “Consequently, we have developed a highly organized system to handle the increased volume of custom orders from our line of over 300 fabrics. Our retailers and designers routinely send us COM or a competitor’s fabric to be manufactured with Omni’s exacting standards, and we don’t foresee any slowdown in this trend.”

In this “big box” world, where people can buy in volume at low prices, there has been resurgence in minimalism and a desire for exclusivity. Omni is uniquely positioned to enable retailers to provide designer quality and distinction with speed and convenience.

Roman Shades Capture Sales At CottonBelle

Strong growth in fabric window treatments has contributed to another category of add-on sales for CottonBelle,” said president Mary Lou Rath. “We have been developing more extensive fabric collections over the past few seasons as our custom, design-driven business has increased. Window treatments are easy and natural add-on sales when merchandising is focused on coordinated looks throughout. Roman shades offer a casual, affordable way to dress windows in the living room, bedroom, kitchen or bath.”

Roman shades are now available in two styles in nearly all fabrics CottonBelle offers. The basic Roman Shade draws up into graceful, horizontal folds and falls nearly flat when unfurled. Rings are attached to pulling cords on the back of the shade. The tailored Roman Shade has stitching along the edge of the folds on the front that acts as a memory for the folds.

Both styles are easy to hang with velcro attachments, and CottonBelle helps determine correct measurements and installation. For custom quotes or more information, call CottonBelle at (573) 859-6589.

Eco-Friendly Consumerism Moves from Dining Room to Bedroom

You watch what you eat–now watch where you sleep. A national trend toward more health-conscious consumption of food products has been reported, and sales of organic food products have increased. It is clear that consumers are making food choices that are not only better for their health, but also for the earth. According to a recent study by the Natural Marketing Institute, the changing demographics of consumers are driving eco-friendly purchase decisions. But earth-conscious consumption is not limited to the dining room–in fact, the next wave in green consumerism may be the bedroom.

This is a wave that White Lotus Home, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of handcrafted all-natural fiber mattresses, has already been riding for a quarter century. On Earth Day 2006, White Lotus Home celebrated its 25th year in business. Or as they prefer to look at it, their 25th year of helping save the earth. It’s all part of a growing trend of informed consumerism by a large ($230 billion dollar marketplace) consumer base, sometimes called Cultural Creatives or LOHAS, an acronym for Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability. No longer relegated to the fringe of the marketplace, these are mainstream consumers who care about their “environmental footprint” and seek out earth-healthy products.

This is not a new marketing trend for White Lotus Home. Since 1981, they have been reducing air, water and land pollution nationwide by handcrafting natural fiber mattresses, pillows and accessories without toxic chemicals. The company began with a simple idea: offer people a safe and comfortable quality sleep environment.

Otis Bed Hybrid Revolution- Sleep Technology Beyond Usual

Otis Bed Manufacturing, best known for innovation and verifiable quality, introduces the Hybrid Revolution to the mattress and furniture world. Our world today demands products to be produced in an environmentally friendly manner, and it challenges the raw materials to be socially conscious of this need. Consumers, on the other hand, desire economical products that possess versatile qualities of comfort, support and high performance. At Otis, even after 124 years, we still invest our time and energy in safe, diverse products that sustain durability, efficiency, performance and multi-level function…thus our Hybrid Mattresses evolved!

Otis’s reflective journey to initiate command of environmental hybrid concept started over a century ago when our first generation was at the helm. Otis manufactured all natural products with no added preservatives. Mattresses used cotton, horse hair, wool and even feathers for comfort layers. Steel was used as a foundation component because it was strong, durable and wouldn’t be placed in land dumps. On the Institutional Market level, we created planet-friendly “extended life” programs to renovate mattresses for hospitals and nursing homes.

All this brings us to where we are today. In July 2007, we will all have to conform to added flammability laws. Rest assured, our goal remains to manufacture ergonomic, high performance cushioning systems that eliminate pressure zones so you can re-charge your body, safely and peacefully!

Otis’s Hybrid Revolution will take you to the next generation of comfort. Join in our revolution and experience our mattresses and cushioning systems conforming to you, then all will be well with the world!
