August Lotz Announces Aggressive Plans

As you may have heard by now, August Lotz Co., Inc. is anticipating many exciting changes and additions to their wood furniture line for this season! Here is a brief summary of those changes.
First of all, plans are under way to add approximately 6 new high-end frame and arm styles to the line. All six of these units will have no exposed hardware and will no longer be called “futons.” Instead, these units will be marketed as “Convertible Sofa Sleepers” in order to divorce them from the rest of the “futon” line. The company feels that diversity within their futon frame line will prove to be a strong suit when it comes to gaining placement on showroom floors.
August Lotz is also anticipating entry into the world of mainstream furniture retail through their line of bedroom furniture. Before long they will be able to offer customers a six drawer dresser, mirror, and five drawer chest designed to complement the already existing platform beds and nightstands.
Finally, in answer to cries for a less expensive, entry level wood futon frame, August Lotz Co.,Inc, will be importing substructures to complete that end of the line! The substructures will be shipped to August Lotz in container load quantities. All containers will arrive at the factory in Boyd, WI, where the product will receive its finishing touches, as well as be subjected to all of the rigorous Quality Control standards that the rest of the line must pass.
Once past Q.C. these futon frames will be packaged with the same hardware, warranty, instructions, and attention to detail that has become the company’s trademark.

There is also exciting news about the August Lotz futon mattress line. The success of the base innerspring futon had customers calling for a higher end innerspring. So after many months of intensive research and development, August Lotz is now introducing the “Superspring” futon mattress. The superior comfort level of the “Superspring” has been achieved through the use of new polyester and densified layers of holofil—guaranteed to satisfy the most discriminating buyer.
Total control of cotton and fiber in August Lotz’s garnet plant have been credited as factors in the company’s rapid growth. Only the highest grade cover, foam, cotton, and polyester are used in production of the entire futon mattress line. All of the above mentioned components have been submitted to the Federal Testing Agency and have exceeded their criteria for safety. Because safety is so important to August Lotz, only “FR” or Fire Retardant foam is used in each and every futon mattress manufactured - whether or not it is a requirement of each individual state. Testing is currently being performed on some of the new memory foams and state of the art technology for upcoming futon mattress introductions. Plan on seeing these intros at the ‘98 Futon Expo in New Orleans.
