How to Shop Futon Sofa Sleepers at High Point Market - Fall 2004
There is no more daunting task than planning to shop the huge expanse of the High Point market. Hey, eleven million square feet is a lot to cover. You should carefully look over the market directory and check out the “futon” listings in the product category section for any other companies not announced prior to press time. Keep in mind futon sofa sleeper furniture was listed as “BEDS-FUTONS” in last market’s Resource Guide/Product Guide.
Begin early— the market opens at 8:00 AM. I will start my rounds at the Main Building (M) by visiting the new Gold Bond, Adonis and SIS showroom in IHFC Main 615. I’ll then head over to see Wolf, Serta, SIS and Lifestyle Solutions by Elite in M632. Next it’s off across the street to Carriage House at Showplace space 2629.
After you visit Main and Showplace you should go south and walk over to Center Point (CP) and see Big Tree/Big Sleep in space 217. Then head back towards IHFC and go east on Commerce and zip down to Innovations USA at 220ELM (220). Be sure to grab a café doppio at the espresso bar outside the C&D building (tell them I sent you) for a little pick-me-up along the way.
Next stop is a visit to Center Theatre Tower (CTT) where you can visit CottonWorks and Largo on the second floor in space 250. You can then head right across the street to the Radisson Hotel and visit Hickory (Springs) At Home in the Heritage Room. Then head back down South Main to the Furniture Plaza (FP) to see Elite Products in space 300 and Arason/FuChest at Plaza Suites (PS) in space 2-300.
I usually wrap things up by
visiting United Sleep Products and their Simmons futon sofa sleeper line
at Independence Hall (IH) on the
